The number of spots are limited, so please plan early. If you are interested in a VIP space, please call Darrell Devitt at (406) 252-5588.

Interstate 90 / 94, off at exit #447 (South Billings Boulevard), proceed south on South Billings Blvd across the Yellowstone River, take the first left (east) after the river (which is immediately north of the Blue Basket store), follow the road approximately 1 1/2 miles to the large white entrance gate.
Other Important Event Information
Dogs are not allowed on the BMC grounds
Lodging - NEW* Overnight camping for non-participants is allowed in 2009 for an extra fee, camping passes can be purchased at the front gate when entering the event. Camping passes, required in addition to the spectator gate passes, are purchased in advance in the on line BMC Store or at the event entry gate, $20 for each day or $40 advance for a three day camping pass.
There are strict limits in the spectator camping area, which will be patroled by the Yellowstone Co Sheriff's Department, including: no campfires (self-contained cook stoves allowed), no fireworks, no dogs, no ATVs or pit bikes, and quiet hours will be enforced from 11 pm to 6 am.
BMC has a number of local hotels and motels that will provide a discount as well. When calling for reservations, tell them you are with the "Billings Motorcycle Club" or ask for the "Motorcycle Rate" to get the proper discounts. Click here for details about participating hotel and motel properties... Participants and their families and crew, with appropriate credentials, are allowed to camp in the pit area.
Additional camping apots are available at a number of nearby campgrounds. CALL IN ADVANCE FOR RESERVATIONS. Information for off-site camping is available at:
KOA - 547 Garden Ave - (406) 252-3104
Yellowstone River Campground - 309 Garden Ave - (406) 259-0878
Coolers - Drinking water and coolers with food / soft drinks are allowed. Coolers should not be larger than 24" and are be subject to inspection at the ticket gate.
Water - BMC does not allow flooded pick up beds, pools, spas or other large containers of water. The rule of thumb is if you can fit your body in the container, it will probably not be allowed into the event filled with liquid.
Alcohol - * ALCOHOL POLICY* Due to changes in the insurance requirements in 2007, BMC was forced to make a difficult decision...to not allow alcohol products to enter the grounds in spectator vehicles during the Great American. Unlike in the past when spectators could bring in any type or amount of alcohol to the event, no alcohol will be allowed to enter the event in spectator vehicles in 2009.
Realizing that a good number of our loyal fans have historically had the freedom to bring their own refreshments to the Great American, which is no longer an option, BMC has negotiated with the Exchange Club, the 2009 beer sales vendor, to offer beer for sale in the vendor area at the Great American at prices roughly equivalent to the prices paid at local convenience and grocery stores. which we hope will allow our loyal spectators that choose to have an ice cold beer at the event to still enjoy the greatest motorcycle hill climb event in the US while not paying more than they would otherwise.
Spectator vehicles and contents may be subject to inspection prior to entry to the grounds.
The Freedom Shuttle service will be in operation again in 2009.And you can buy your shuttle passes on line! Several local businesses will be offering entertainment packages, which will include tickets to the Great American, shuttle bus service to and from the event, entrance to the Freedom VIP tent, food and beverages. If you want to have an enjoyable day, watch the event from the comfort of a huge shaded tent area and eliminate the need to drive to and from the event, we hope that you will consider purchasing a Freedom Shuttle entertainment package. To purchase a $25 shuttle pass (which includes a ticket to the event), contact Play Inn or Billings Hotel.
SPONSORS Thank you to our sponsoring businesses. Please consider these companies when you are in need of their products and services.
